Frequently asked questions

Nevada facts are current as of October 20, 2026 and cite official sources.

What is in the Nevada Starter Forms Pack?

Five editable templates for a new Nevada personal care agency: Client Intake Form, Client Service Agreement, Caregiver Timesheet, Incident Report, Caregiver Training Log. Each comes as an editable Word file (.docx) and a matching PDF. See the Nevada kit page for details and sample pages.

Is this legal advice?

No. CareAgencyKit sells document templates and plain-English summaries of official sources. We are not a law firm and do not give legal, tax, or HR advice. Review every template with a qualified professional before you use it. See our full disclaimer.

Does buying the kit guarantee my agency will be licensed?

No. Only the state licensing Division decides whether to issue a license. Under NRS 449B.200, the Division issues a license after its own investigation. Our templates can help you get organized, but they cannot promise approval or a passing inspection.

What kind of agency is this for?

Non-medical home care agencies, which Nevada calls an "agency to provide personal care services in the home." The definition is in NRS 449B.015. These agencies help elderly people and people with disabilities with daily activities like bathing, dressing, meals, and laundry (NRS 449B.050). The kit is not for home health agencies or agencies that provide nursing in the home, which are licensed differently.

What file formats do I get?

Every template comes as an editable .docx file and a PDF. You can edit the .docx in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, or Apple Pages. Add your agency name, logo, and policies before use.

How do I get my files after I pay?

Payment happens on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Right after payment, we email a download link to the address you used at checkout. The link works for 7 days and up to 5 downloads, so save the files to your computer. If your link expires or the email doesn’t arrive, contact us.

What is your refund policy?

If the files don’t match the product description, or they won’t open and we can’t fix it, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are not given for a change of mind or because a license application was denied or delayed. Read the full refund policy.

How current is the information?

Our Nevada content is current as of October 20, 2026, the date we last checked the official sources. In 2025, Nevada passed Assembly Bill 519, which moved personal care agency law from NRS chapter 449 to a new chapter, NRS 449B. The existing personal care agency regulations in NAC 449 stay in effect until the state replaces them. Laws change, so confirm with the Division before you file.

How much is the Nevada license fee?

The regulation lists a nonrefundable fee of $1,374 for an initial license and $687 for a renewal (NAC 449.013). It also lists an additional fee equal to 6% of the renewal fee, due at issuance and renewal. The current state checklist does not show a fee, and new regulations could change it. Confirm the amount with the Division before you apply. [VERIFY]

How long does it take to get licensed?

We could not find an official processing time published by the state, so we don’t estimate one. [VERIFY] Ask the Division directly. The official program page lists Health Care Quality and Compliance at (702) 486-6515 (source). Note that an application is valid for 1 year. If you don’t meet the requirements in that time, you must reapply and pay the fee again (NAC 449.013(4)).

Do you have kits for Texas or Tennessee?
